A wise man once said, "If you want to hate America, watch the news. If you want to love America, drive across it"


I'm watching Youtube videos and it is full of Brits at a rodeo in Texas. Scots playing the bagpipes while marching to a game at Fenway. Norway fans singing songs. More Brits discovering our food and what it's like to walk into an American WalMart. They're a bit overwhelmed with all the choices.

The Scots have drank the bars dry.

One thing they all have in common is praising the U.S. because it's completely different than what they were expecting and they're loving it.

I say this with heartfelt sincerity....

Welcome To America.


 
This gives me feelings and I have things to say about this but can't figure out how to express them without it being interpreted that I hate America, which I do not.

Fearing that I'll aggravate a simmering case of TDS, I will say no more and go take a nap.
 
Australia -v- United States of America. I don't watch normally but gotta watch this match.


This was the prediction 6 days ago.


But the Aussies beat Turkey just 2 days ago.


Now we're 2nd in Group D - response

You're a patriot just like me. After your nap, watch the match. Either way we will both celebrate. It will be a good game. Last time we met USA was in Perth and the yanks gave us a touch up. Grudge match for the roos. If we lose I'll be happy we got to this point.
