It only makes my appreciation and awe for what these incredible humans are capable of doing and the risks they take grow. It is really a shame this sport is not more popular, especially in the U.S.
In the tiny country of The Netherlands, attendance at this past weekend's event:
Pre-Weekend: 35,058
Saturday: 50,499
Sunday: 108,388
In Spain, MotoGP is the country's second most popular sport behind football (soccer). The round in France usually sees a combined weekend total of 212,000+ in attendance.
