I was sitting here just randomly scrolling and stopped to listen to a guy who talking about a new Health Fad. They're usually pretty ridiculous like sunning your perineum. Taint tanning. I still laugh at that one.

This one said the new trend is for people with hemorrhoids to put sugar on them. Yep. Just plain ol' sugar. I thought it sounded a bit stupid till I mentioned it to my Wife. She said that's common practice in the hospital for prolapsed rectums or uterus if they are not a surgical candidate or can't be fitted with a Pessary for some reason. She said it's not a permanent fix and it's like putting salt on a snail, it just draws back into the body.

Don't feel bad, I didn't know what a Pessary was either so I looked it up for us.

A pessary is a removable, flexible silicone or plastic device inserted into the vagina. It is primarily a non-surgical treatment used to support pelvic organs (like the uterus, bladder, and rectum) in women experiencing pelvic organ prolapse or stress urinary incontinence.

That's interesting. I've never heard about this. You do learn something new every day. and if nothing else, it's to learn a new word.

I will have to read more about this and how they work. They seem to come in several shapes and sizes.
