Girls Blouse - Describes a sook, wimp, scared person. Big Girls Blouse is the expansion when you trully are a sook, wimpy, scared person.
Getaroundtooit - Often said in contextual talk - "When I get around to it." A 'round tuit' is an actual thing. When asked things like "When you gonna fix the car?" "When you gonna mow the lawn?" When you gonna fix the leak?" The answer generally is, "When I gedda 'Round Tuit."
Goanna - Australia monitor lizard. Nasty when cornered. "Leave that goanna be."
G'day - Of course most know G'day is a form of greeting. Refined = Good Day. Basically "Hello"
Galah - Aussie parrot. In large mobs are quite crazy at times. Screeching, Flying at impossible angles at speed dodging each other. To be called a 'Galah' means affectionately you act like the bird. Can also mean a flamin idiot. 'Carries on like a Galah" means the person can't stop talking mostly rubbish or is acting up all the time.
Grub - Low form of life. Not a nice thing to be tagged with.
Gander - A long look. "Have a gander at that!" Means look at an object, person or thing that is usually surprising. Or "I went to the beach for a bit of a gander", well, means you checking out the talent lying on the sand.
Go'in - Short for going. 'Go In' "How yer go'in mate?" Answer could be "Flat out like a Lizard drinkin."
Give a Shit - As in "I don't give a shit" You don't care about the subject.
Grouse - Means fine/good. "Grouse looking sheila aye, have a gander."

Harry Holt - Picked up after the disappearance of Prime Minister Harold Holt in the 60's. Never seen again. So, to do the Harry Holt you've left at great speed. Also comes from doing a Bolt or Bolter. Which means much the same. Can be shortened to "He just did a Harry."
Happy as Larry - To be "Happy as Larry" is a high form of contentment generally. Things are going well. If asked, "How yer go'in," and the answer is in an uplifted voice with a smile, "Happy as Larry" then all's well but if said in a lower tone without the smile, could be at a funeral, then it conveys sadness or downright unhappy.
Hoon - (Rhymes with moon) Generally describes an idiot driver on the road. The term 'Hooning' is used in law where cars are confiscated and sometimes destroyed. Passenger to Driver - "Yer drivin like a flamin hoon, slow down."
Hard Word - To put the "hard word' on sometimes means someone needs a good solid talking to but is often used in perhaps chatting up someone attractive. "I'm gonna put the hard word on her."
Home and Hosed - Term used to describe the finalisation of a task or job. It's done. "How'd yer go with fixing the car mate?" answer -"Home and hosed." another saying which means the same is, "It's done and dusted."
How'd - Short for 'How did'.

Iffy - "That's a bit iffy" Risky or odd/unusual
In like Flynn - Named after Errol Flynn the actor who actually came from Australia. Reported to be able to get into any girl. "Well I put the hard word on her and I'm in like Flynn." But aside from that can be used, in say perhaps, if someone goes for a job and is asked afterwards, "How'd yer go?" " Answer - "In like Flynn mate."
Idiot Box - A television. "Spent all night watchin the Idiot Box."
I wouldn't know him from a bar of soap - Self explanatory. If asked do you know someone and you haven't a clue then the answer is "I wouldn't know them from a bar of soap."
I could eat a horse and chase the jockey - Means you flamin hungry and need food.
