Look, really, I have never heard of this. Nor have we had to do it before. To those above the equator - do you ever have to do this? Delivered personally to my daughter here at home as we were in town.

This looks mandatory for you too. If it's anything like it is here, they will hound you to death until you answer and you have to do this every month for 8 months or they'll come knocking on your door.

The last time I answered one, a lady knocked on my door and said "Sir I am from the US Census Bureau and.... "

I said "4 people live here" and closed the door.

The MPS is a compulsory survey conducted by the ABS. We are asking the questions under the authority of the Census and Statistics Act 1905. Like other civic duties, such as voting or jury duty, you have an obligation to participate. The Act obliges you to provide the information we request, unless otherwise stated.

There may be penalties for not providing the requested information.
