There are FOUR different types of threads? Oh my!

They are:
  • Discussion Threads
  • Article Threads
  • Question Threads
  • Poll Threads
The type of thread you are making is selected when you create it by choosing one of the options below the thread title. The type of thread cannot be changed after it is posted - except by an admin or moderator. Send one of them a direct message if you need a change.

Examples below

Not all forums have all four types of threads available. If the type you want to use is missing in a particular forum, ping an admin to have it turned on.

The types explained:

► Discussion Threads
This is the default thread type, the kind you know and love

► Article Threads
Article threads work like normal threads except they display differently for more of a full screen reading area
Your avatar and user stats area gets moved from the left side and is shown across the bottom of your
post as a full width horizontal bar

► Question Threads (question and answer threads)1779290833443.png
The purpose of a question thread is to ask a question and allow replies to your question be voted on
The answer with the most upvotes can be marked as the solution - this gives a points bonus

► Poll Threads
Here you can create a poll with your post
Under the editor window, you will see where to define you question and the possible answers to it
There are also several options about the poll like duration, multiple choices and changing a vote
