I always find it amusing how the Brits use the word 'scheme' for legitimate plans. in the USA 'scheme' is usually preceded with 'evil' and implies some naughty planning.

We also use it to describe the likes of housing, as in "housing scheme."

Then again i suppose there has been known to be quite a bit of "evil" and "naughty planning" associated with said concrete jungles.
